Introducing the most recent addition to the Wine Intelligence Wine Market Landscape Report Series: Russia

Never mind the oligarchs. Russia is probably the most exciting new wine market to emerge in the past five years. Why? Because a growing slice of ordinary middle class Russian society has developed a taste for quality wine, according to our Russian Wine Market Landscape report.

Based on Wine Intelligence's groundbreaking consumer survey of Russian drinkers of imported wine, and containing both the latest sales data and information about routes to market, this report provides an unprecedented insight into a rapidly growing wine market on the doorstep of Europe.

For 6 million consumers in the UK, Champagne is more than just a seasonal drink...

The Champagne category in the UK market was worth nearly £750m in 2007 - and as a comparatively seasonal product, Christmas has always been a key focus for sales. However, our research in the UK has identified a core group of around 6 million consumers (approximately 1/3 of all Champagne buyers) who buy Champagne at least 3 times a year.

This report focuses on these frequent Champagne buyers and explores the occasions for which they buy Champagne - and how much they are willing to pay in both the off and on-trade. It also provides brand health measures for these core Champagne consumers.
